New Google Posts – An update to Google’s “My Business”

Google Posts are a new feature that is now available for any business with a Google My Business page. These posts are actually panels of info that show up along with the Google My Business info. This can be seen on Google SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages). These posts can be a great way for dealerships to promote news, deals and other content.

google posts exampleGoogle Posts serve as a way to tie lease and finance specials, news, local events or whatever else a car dealer needs attention on to their local maps/business listing. The posts show up in both search and map results. Customers benefit when a dealership page shares things like promotions, featured products or other incentives.

Another benefit is that local listings tend to be highly ranked in Google SERPs when a customer searches a automotive dealership by name. That means that these posts will be seen above the fold in search results. Google Posts also take up a fair amount of valuable SERP real estate on mobile.
